Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to address incidents or emergencies within the residential community.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to residents and staff.
