Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to address incidents or emergencies within the residential community.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to residents and staff.
