About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an Armed Patrol Officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, control access points as needed, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm, clear communication. You will also document activities and work closely with site personnel, bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization, and screen visitors, vehicles, and deliveries per site procedures while maintaining professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and logs, document observations, and communicate operational issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
