About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer - Residential Driver Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a residential community. You will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license, with daily reporting and updates completed using technology such as a computer or tablet.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at entrances and/or gates by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries and service providers per site procedures.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request law enforcement and/or medical support when needed and permitted by post orders.
  • Maintain readiness and accountability of issued equipment including firearm and related gear, follow all licensing requirements and use of force guidelines, and complete accurate reports and incident documentation.
