Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • A DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, front desk protocols, and site-specific policies at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor information, issue access credentials, and maintain front desk records in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Answer phones, greet arriving guests, direct foot traffic, and support access control processes for deliveries, appointments, and/or scheduled visits.
  • Observe the front desk area and surrounding entry points to help to deter unauthorized access, report concerns, and document security-related events in a timely manner.
