As a Security Officer Armed Reception Desk in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Our Armed Front Desk Officers at a busy healthcare location serve as a welcoming, professional presence, supporting access control, visitor assistance, and other security-related responsibilities. In this stationary post, you will use strong communication and customer service skills to help to deter incidents while responding to site needs with integrity. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols in a healthcare location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, help to manage access control, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, and relay information to appropriate departments while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the front desk.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
