About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Console in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in and check-out processes, and report unusual or suspicious activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Answer phones, assist with directions, maintain access logs and visitor records, and support front desk communications in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or first responders when needed.
  • Support access control functions for a technology-focused location by helping to deter unauthorized entry, confirming appointments, and following client-directed protocols for deliveries, guests, and/or vendors.
