As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports and alarms with clear communication and steady judgment. You will support visitors and staff with strong customer service while documenting activity and coordinating with site contacts. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or public sector partners as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter prohibited activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization, and document visitor activity in accordance with site policies and post orders.
Complete required reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol observations, and equipment checks, and communicate updates to supervision during shift handoff.
