Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A pepper spray certification is preferred.
A CPR certification is preferred.
A handcuffing certification is preferred.
A baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency response partners.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to discourage unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, packages, and/or vehicles as required, helping to control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, remaining prepared to address security-related incidents as directed.
