As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication. This is an armed, driving post requiring an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. You will support a caring, people-first team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production or office areas, parking areas and perimeter points as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
Monitor alarms, cameras and communication systems, and report irregular activity according to post orders and escalation procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public responders when directed.
Perform package, vehicle and/or property checks when assigned, consistent with site policy and applicable laws.
Assist with escorting authorized personnel, visitors and/or contractors to designated areas as required by site procedures.
Complete timely written reports and shift activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, corrective actions and follow-up steps.
Operate and carry assigned equipment, including duty weapon and protective gear, in accordance with Allied Universal policies, training and applicable regulations.
Participate in briefings and training, and support compliance with site requirements related to controlled areas, proprietary information and restricted locations.
