Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor the location for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to company protocols.
Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, providing assistance and access as required by site procedures.
Support access control measures by verifying identification and managing entry points as directed.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed written reports for Allied Universal and client records.
Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies or security-related threats, utilizing appropriate training and equipment, including carrying a firearm as required by the post profile.
