As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while supporting a welcoming customer experience. This post requires Level III Armed Certification in Texas and applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Baton Certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and store personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, state and local laws, and post orders, including performing required checks and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and/or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and exterior grounds to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate observations to supervisors and client representatives, and support investigations by preserving details and maintaining awareness of applicable policies.
