About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Aero Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, in accordance with location-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal.
  • Support emergency preparedness initiatives and participate in drills as required by the location.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client representatives to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.
  • Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts, reporting any observed hazards, security-related breaches, or maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
