About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol - Hospital in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare Sites, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll actively monitor and patrol a dynamic Healthcare Facility. You'll help to deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as they arise, and provide outstanding customer service while remaining visible throughout your assigned area. Requirements

At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with site staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and/or emergencies.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Follow all company and client policies regarding the use and handling of firearms during assigned duties.
