Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment. Your presence and professionalism will support a positive experience for staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires carrying a firearm while remaining visible, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect people and property.
Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to situations that may require the use of armed intervention, following all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
