As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to the public, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
Monitor for unusual activity or conditions that may impact the utilities environment and report findings as required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Operate assigned communication devices to stay in contact with Allied Universal management and/or emergency services as needed.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Follow protocols for handling and/or escalating incidents related to access control, property disturbances, and emergencies specific to a utilities location.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and adhere to all company and regulatory guidelines regarding armed posts.
