Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the utilities location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utilities facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors, addressing inquiries or concerns related to security-related matters.
Document incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by site-specific protocols and Allied Universal policies.
Operate communication devices and/or security-related equipment as required by the post assignment.
