Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verifying credentials and reporting any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with company and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations and lockdowns, in coordination with site management and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and contractors in a technology-focused environment.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related situations.
