About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter potential threats and maintain order.
Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner while enforcing site policies.
Utilize training and judgment to assess situations and appropriately escalate issues to law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Complete detailed reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by site procedures.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to the community.
