About The Position

Requirements

• Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Provide DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through required channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, including checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor alarms, CCTV, radios, and/or other communication systems, and document security-related activity in daily logs and incident reports per post orders.
• Support security-related screening and controlled entry processes such as verifying identification, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local authorities as needed.
