About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or incidents.
Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the government facility.
Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public while upholding the policies of the location.
Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and/or issues in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
