As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and public visitors while delivering strong customer service. This armed post requires a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and a team-first mindset grounded in integrity, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, notifying appropriate parties, and completing required reports.
  • Control entry and vehicle access points as assigned, verify identification and/or authorization, and assist with directions and general inquiries.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal and client post orders, including adherence to use of force guidelines.
