Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an educational location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control and visitor screening as directed by site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
Carry authorized duty equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, and report incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations through proper channels.
Support students, staff, and visitors by monitoring assigned areas, helping to de-escalate conflicts when appropriate, and coordinating with school administration and/or first responders when needed.
