As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out armed post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization for entry, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
  • Prepare clear reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations and unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership to help support security-related operations.
