About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of the environment and assist with access control as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and/or emergency services during incidents as outlined in site-specific procedures.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
  • Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
