About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
Maintain awareness of the environment and assist with access control as required by site policies.
Collaborate with local authorities and/or emergency services during incidents as outlined in site-specific procedures.
Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
