Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Team in Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
