Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol financial institution locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role involves conducting routine patrols and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. As this is an armed and driving position, you will be responsible for both patrolling and operating company vehicles as required, all while embodying our core values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.
Requirements
- A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within a financial institution setting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences during patrols.
- Collaborate with staff and visitors to promote a welcoming and secure environment.
- Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific guidelines to support the security-related needs of the location.
