About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, supporting a secure environment through routine patrols and visible presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Requirements

Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Monitor access points and verify identification to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Maintain detailed records and logs of activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
Remain alert to any irregularities and communicate promptly with Allied Universal management regarding any concerns.
Adhere to all site-specific requirements for an armed patrol post, including the proper handling and carrying of assigned firearms.
