About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. This post requires both driving and armed responsibilities. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service while upholding the values of Allied Universal—teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in every situation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
  • Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and local law enforcement as required for security-related matters.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while carrying out assigned duties in various working environments and conditions.
