About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare Sites and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a Healthcare Facility location, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure environment for all. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on the situation and protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols, both inside the facility and around the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help control access and observe for suspicious activity.
Provide assistance during emergency response activities, following established protocols and reporting relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, addressing inquiries and providing directions as needed.
Support site operations by identifying potential security-related risks and reporting them according to established procedures.
