Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Residential Complex in South Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This role requires both an armed guard license and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving while on patrol. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with residents, and embody our values of teamwork, reliability, agility, and integrity every day.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
