As an Armed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out armed post duties, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local law enforcement as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, directing visitors, and assisting with patient, staff, and vendor wayfinding as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
