About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Nights in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency partners as needed. Requirements

• Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Possess DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and actions per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or credentials, and directing unauthorized individuals to the appropriate resources.
• Monitor security-related systems and surroundings for unusual activity, communicate findings to appropriate personnel, and complete required reports and logs.
