Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the educational location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation and emergency response techniques.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the campus, including buildings, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences during each shift.
Collaborate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and/or incidents.
Remain alert and observant while on patrol and during all assigned duties, reporting any potential security-related hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
