About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as needed. This role is both armed and driving, requiring you to maintain a visible presence while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate with team members and site management regarding security-related concerns.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification, and monitoring visitor and employee movement within the location.
