As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and shoppers with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, and an armed post requiring Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Requirements

Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Hold Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Carry a duty weapon in accordance with state law, licensing requirements, and post orders; maintain proper weapon handling, retention, and compliant storage practices while on duty.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter theft, trespass, and other unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical calls, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or management as directed.
Complete detailed written reports and digital logs for incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations; assist with access control, key control, and monitoring of cameras and alarms as assigned.
