Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed, driving patrol officer, where you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support orderly operations through teamwork and integrity in a caring, people-first culture.
Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting public responders when needed, and/or following post orders.
- Monitor and control access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, screening visitors, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
- Complete detailed documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity reports, and communicate noteworthy events to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
