Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, where agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity guide every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security experience OR a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and requests for service.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity, complete reports, and communicate observations and/or incidents to appropriate personnel following post orders.
  • Support entry screening and controlled access operations as assigned, including verifying identification and/or credentials and directing visitors to the proper location.
