Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Elba, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a food and beverage location. This is a driving and armed post where you will interact with team members and visitors, provide excellent customer service, and support a secure environment. Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the food and beverage facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
- Assist with incident documentation and follow-up as required by site protocols.
- Remain alert and aware of surroundings while performing duties, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
