About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This position requires both an active armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for both patrolling and driving duties. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and good judgment to help maintain order and support the well-being of those at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist medical staff and visitors as needed, offering guidance and support while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Participate in emergency drills and respond to alarms or requests for assistance as directed by site leadership or emergency procedures.
