About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This position requires both an active armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for both patrolling and driving duties. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and good judgment to help maintain order and support the well-being of those at the location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist medical staff and visitors as needed, offering guidance and support while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Participate in emergency drills and respond to alarms or requests for assistance as directed by site leadership or emergency procedures.
