As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have a college degree.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns, reporting findings according to established protocols.
Interact with visitors, employees and/or members of the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site guidelines.
Assist with access control, verifying credentials and helping to maintain order during entry and exit at the location.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance needs as directed by site procedures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required, following all Allied Universal and site protocols.
