Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Federal Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is an armed and driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and report unauthorized activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local law enforcement as appropriate.
  • Complete timely written reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates through approved radio and/or phone protocols.
