Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Federal Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is an armed and driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
An armed guard card/license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and report unauthorized activity according to post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local law enforcement as appropriate.
Complete timely written reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates through approved radio and/or phone protocols.
