Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will provide customer service and clear communication with store teams and guests, while documenting activity with integrity. This post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III armed certification.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons, tenants, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors, common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct through visible presence, and provide directions and assistance as needed.
• Carry, handle, and secure assigned firearm and other issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and post orders; complete detailed incident reports and maintain required logs.
