As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service at a government location. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you patrol assigned areas and remain highly visible. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences during assigned shifts.
- Adhere to all protocols regarding the carrying and use of authorized firearms as part of assigned duties.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, following established procedures.
- Remain alert and observant to identify potential security-related risks or hazards within the government location.
