About The Position

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or customers by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local leadership and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor for theft, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and/or policy violations, and report concerns while supporting access control and other security-related duties at the location.
• Assist with de-escalation during customer and/or employee incidents, provide visible presence in high-traffic areas, and follow post orders for opening, closing, and after-hours patrol activity.
