About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Navigator in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and contacting law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity, and document observations according to site guidelines.
Assist with access control, crowd management, and after-hours checks while maintaining visible presence and providing detailed incident reports for security-related events.
