Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Baton Rouge, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer for a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional presence through strong customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post where you will contribute with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while putting people first in every interaction.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for an armed patrol post at a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, remaining prepared to address unusual activity, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and high-value areas to help support authorized access, report irregularities, and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site policies, while completing required reports, logs, and other security-related documentation.
