Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Maintain awareness of the environment and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a courteous and professional manner while enforcing access control procedures.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Adhere to all weapon handling protocols and maintain readiness to respond to security-related threats as an armed professional.
