Job Description As a Security Officer - Aerospace Armed Patrol in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with personnel and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for security-related risks or hazards and report any concerns according to established guidelines.
Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and provide information as needed.
Coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports as needed for all security-related activities.
