As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. This post requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle, so an armed guard license and valid driver's license are needed. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, verifying identification and controlling access as required.
Report and document any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or hazards encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when additional assistance is needed.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions within the government facility.
Follow all company, client, and legal requirements related to the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.
