About The Position

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an active armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor the premises for any suspicious behavior and report observations as required by site protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and the public in a professional manner while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports as per site requirements.
  • Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed according to site procedures.
  • Adhere to all site-specific rules and regulations, including those governing the carrying and handling of firearms.
